Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Smart Export for SSMS ("Smart Export", "Software", "we", "us") and our website at smartsql.comtools.cn.
By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using Smart Export, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
Description of service
Smart Export is a Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) extension that exports SQL query results to Excel, HTML, and image formats.
The Software runs locally on your Windows machine inside SSMS. Export operations do not require uploading your database data to our servers.
License grant
- Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Smart Export.
- Free tier: includes full functionality during the trial period as described on our pricing page.
- Pro and Lifetime tiers: include continued updates and commercial usage rights as described at purchase.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software except where expressly permitted by law.
- Each license is intended for use by a single user or organization as stated at checkout. License keys may not be shared beyond authorized users.
Payments and billing
- Paid plans are processed by Paddle.com, our payment provider and merchant of record. Paddle's terms and privacy policy apply to checkout and billing.
- Prices are listed in USD on our pricing page and may change for future purchases. Existing prepaid subscriptions are honored for their paid term.
- Pro is billed annually. Lifetime is a one-time payment for perpetual access to the Software and future updates, subject to these Terms.
- Taxes, where applicable, are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.
License activation
Paid licenses require a one-time online activation when you first enter your license key. No query data or database content is transmitted during activation.
After activation, the Software works offline. You are responsible for keeping your license key secure.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Smart Export only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and your organization's policies.
You may not use the Software to circumvent licensing, interfere with activation systems, or attempt unauthorized access to our services.
Updates and support
We may release updates, bug fixes, and improvements. Paid plans include updates as described on our pricing page.
Support is provided via email on a reasonable-efforts basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every SSMS version.
Disclaimer of warranties
Smart Export is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all systems or SSMS versions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or lost profits.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Smart Export shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $50 if no payment was made.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete copies in your possession.
Sections that by nature should survive termination — including payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will survive.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
